Exploring Sonora

Yesterday our hosts took us in their pick-up truck to ‘Canyon de Nacapule’ some 5-6 miles off San Carlos.

A narrow and deep Canyon between steep mountains it’s a micro climate of it’s own. Many endemic species like herbs and with a good supply of fresh water from the mountain ridges embracing the canyon it’s very GREEN in contrast to the surrounding semi-deserts of Sonora landscape.

The ‘fingers-and toes’ style climbing for an hour in this terrain (that got severely flooded durig last years hurricane) did very good for the ‘sailors-leg-itis’

We haven’t been as physically active as we would have liked to be lately.

This week we are going to team up with the (previous) owner of ‘Nanna’ to sort things out and take care of the final stages of the transaction.
